IHC directs ECP to conclude PTI foreign funding case in 30 days
Islamabad High Court has directed the Election Commission of Pakistan to announce its verdict on foreign funding case within 30 days. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has issued a written decision.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has also rejected PTI’s plea to stop Akbar S. Babar from handing over the record of foreign funding case.
PTI’s plea to exclude Akbar S. Babar from proceedings in the foreign funding case was also rejected.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed the petition filed by PTI against Akbar S. Babar and upheld the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
PTI had challenged the ECP’s decision but ECP rejected PTI’s petition on January 25 and January 31.
It may be recalled that the foreign funding case has been pending in the Election Commission since November 2014.
