IG Sindh removed over recent terror attacks in Karachi
Karachi: Due to the surge in recent terror activities in Karachi, Inspector General of Police (IG) Sindh Mushtaq Mahar has been removed from his office.
A notification has also been issued to remove IG Sindh from the post.
The Sindh government has given additional charge of IG Sindh to Additional IG Dr Kamran Fazal.
According to sources, Dr Kamran Fazal has been notified to act as acting IG Sindh till his retirement on July 17, after which Mohsin Butt will probably be the next IG Sindh.
Sources said that the Sindh government was not happy with the way IG Sindh Mushtaq Mahar was working and he wanted to change him.
