Jonathan Swan of HBO Axios interviewed Prime Minister Imran Khan, which got aired on Monday 3:00am PST.
During the Interview, Jonathan asked a question regarding the criticism Imran Khan faced as he was accused of rape victim blaming.
While clearing his stance Imran stated “we don’t have discos here, we don’t have night clubs, so it is a complete different society way of life here, if you raise temptation in the society to the point and all these young guys have no where to go, it has consequences in the society”.
“Do you think what women wear have any affect ?” asked Jonathan.
Answering the question, Khan stated “if women wear few clothes it will have an impact on men, unless they are a robot”.
“It depends in which society you live in, if in a society people haven’t seen such thing it will have an impact on them”, said Imran Khan when asked whether clothing provoke sexual violence.
The interviewer pointing out Imran Khan’s past events for which he was called a “play boy” asked “You shouldn’t be criticising ?”
“Its not about me, its about my society, my priority is how my society behaves, what reactions are caused in my society, when I see sex crimes going on the roof we sit down we discuss how we are going to tackle, it is having an impact in my society” replied Imran.
Earlier, Imran Khan was praised when a video of the same interview went viral in which he made it loud and clear that Pakistan will not allow its territory to be used by the US for any sort of action inside Afghanistan. “Absolutely not” was the PM’s reply when asked during the interview .
