If we rectify cricket structure, Pakistan will become unbeatable: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that if we rectified our cricket structure, Pakistan would become unbeatable.
PM Imran Khan said while addressing the ceremony after signing of an agreement ‘on domestic broadcasting right’ between state television channel, PTV and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He said the agreement was crucial. He said the step would improve PTV coverage and quality.
“Sports can play huge role in reviving glory of PTV. Agreement will help in development of cricket. It is important for viewers of cricket as well,” he said.
The prime minister said talent in Pakistan would not come up because of the existing system. We needed to rectify the system to polish talent at younger level, he added.

He said Pakistan possessed immense talent. Nowhere in the world players from club cricket were sent to play test, he maintained. He said with good combination and merit, cricket got better.
“I want to see Pakistani talent in the next world cup. The quality cricket talent that Pakistan possesses, is not seen in any part of the world,” he said.
