ICC announced the venues for T20 World Cup 2022

International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the venues for the T20 World Cup 2022 on Tuesday (today).
The defending champions Australia will host the next year’s T20 World Cup edition.
The tournament will start on October 16 2022 and will conclude with the final on November 13.
Seven cricket stadiums across Australia will host 45 matches.
Defending champions Australia and runners up New Zealand have qualified for the Super12 stage. Pakistan, England, India, South Africa, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh have also joined Australia and New Zealand in the Super12 round on the basis of rankings before the cutoff date.
Whereas two times T20 champions West Indies and Sri Lanka have to play in the qualification stage in a bid of further advancing in the Super 12 stage.
T20 World Cup was set to be organized in Australia in 2020 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the whole world was at a halt as so did the cricketing activities.
But now the world is coping up with unusual circumstances as the introduction of the vaccine has been a bright hope to eradicate the Covid-19 pandemic from the world.
The cities of Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney will host the upcoming T20 World Cup as confirmed by ICC.
