“Mizoram and his village at Baktawng Tlangnuam has become a major tourist attraction in the state because of the family,” the CM expressed his grief.

As the head of 167-member family, the local media claims that Ziona was the owner of “world’s largest family”. The family reportedly lives in a single house.

Despite his huge family, Ziona Chana headed the local sect named “Chana” which was founded by his father in 1942. The Chana sect currently holds the membership of hundreds of families.

When he was 17, Ziona married to his first wife. He claimed to have married 10 women in a year.
