LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has released its performance report of 20 years.
In its performance report, the accountability watchdog revealed that 222,208,690,000 rupees were recovered from possession of different corrupt elements in various references, plea bargain cases and voluntary acts.
The NAB Lahore said that 76,664 people approached it with complaints in the last two decades, while they arrested 1,739 people so far. According to the statistics released by the NAB, references worth Rs105,850,000,000 were registered with it.
While, corrupt elements handed over Rs83,672,690,000 to the institute voluntarily and Rs32,686,000,000 were recovered through plea bargain and added to the national exchequer.
The NAB report apprised that the ratio of getting culprits punished through courts had been 75 percent during this time.
The performance report has been submitted to NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.
