Riyadh: Saudi Arabian authorities have issued new quarantine rules for (foreigner) pilgrims coming to perform Umrah.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in the third phase, pilgrims from other countries will have to complete a three-day quarantine in their hotels as soon as they arrive in Saudi Arabia, and only after completing the quarantine will they be able to perform Umrah.
The Saudi Center for Disease Prevention and Control is monitoring the situation of coronavirus in all countries.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah added that if there was an increase in cases of the coronavirus, the authorities would immediately limit the number of pilgrims.
It may be recalled that Umrah was banned in March due to the global epidemic Corona virus.
Later, the Saudi government announced the resumption of phased Umrah from October 4, and in the first phase, 6,000 Saudi nationals and foreigners were allowed to perform Umrah.
Under the second phase, it was announced that 2.5 lakh locals would be allowed to perform Umrah and at the same time, the Holy Shrine of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was opened for pilgrims.
Now, the third phase will start from November 1, under which foreign pilgrims will also be able to enjoy Umrah.
