Trump also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in economics. The current US president has had two failed marriages, the third being with Melania in 2005.
Donald Trump, the son of business tycoon Fred Trump, started his own business with his father’s loan. In 1971, he took control of the family company.
Trump gained nationwide fame through his hotels, casinos and construction projects. Trump has also been involved with the showbiz industry and the media, and has hosted TV shows.
Donald Trump first expressed interest in running campaign for president in 1987.
In 2008, Trump once again came to the fore when he named Kenya instead of the United States as the birthplace of presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Donald Trump was nominated by the Republican Party for the June 2015 presidential election.
