The woes for residents of Karachi are still not over as they will have to experience hot weather for several more days. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that temperature in Karachi to hit 35 °C on Monday and soar up to 36 °C in next couple of days.
The PMD said that mainly hot and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country, while very hot in plain areas of Punjab and Sindh during the next twelve hours.
“However, dust-thunderstorm/rain with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Hazara, Bannu, Kohat, Zhob, Kalat, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions, Islamabad, Lower Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan,” it said.
Minimum temperature of some major cities recorded on Monday morning: Islamabad 21 °C, Lahore 31, Karachi 30, Peshawar and Quetta 25, Gilgit 16, Murree 18 and Muzaffarabad 19 °C.
During past 24 hours: Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country, while very hot and in plain areas of Punjab and Sindh. However, dust-thundershower/rain with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Zhob, Malakand divisions, Karachi and Gilgit Baltistan.
