Host of Engin Altan in Pakistan is suspected to be criminal
LAHORE: The businessman who brought famous Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan aka Ertugrul to Pakistan has found to be having a criminal record.
Engin Altan, who fights conspiracies in the popular Turkish drama series Ertugrul Ghazi, could not realize that the man he was dealing with was a swindler in Lahore.
Mian Kashif Zameer, who called Engin Altan to Pakistan, is allegedly involved in eight cases. According to police sources, serious cases have been registered against Kashif Zameer, including fraud, betrayal of trust, car theft and robbery.
The suspect claims to be Managing Director of Chaudhry Groups of Companies. During his visit to Turkey, Engin Altan had given three rings of Ertugrul character of super hit drama series ‘Dirilis: Ertugrul’ as a present to the Pakistani businessman.
Kashif Zameer, in an interview with Daily Pakistan anchorperson Yasir Shami, had revealed that he met ‘Ertugrul’ and presented him a gold ring worth Rs6 million.
He is fond of gold and always keeps wearing a 1.5 kg gold chain around his neck, and about 0.25 kg gold bracelet and rings. He also possesses a diamond-cut wrist watch worth one crore Pakistani rupees.
