In a historical development, a Hindu woman has become a DSP in Sindh Police.
Maneesha Ropeta of Jacobabad had joined the police department after passing the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) exam in 2019.
A few years ago, she had come to Karachi to do her doctorate in Physiotherapy and completed the degree in 2018 before applying for a job in police department.
Local media has quoted her as saying that after taking exams she was appointed as DSP. She relayed that they were six sisters and she was the youngest of them all, while her father had died when she was quite young.
She said that achievement of anything was possible through hard work.
