A video went viral on the internet, where a girl is seen crying standing outside Jamia Milia Islamia University because of the Citizen Amendment Bill in India.
The Indian government decided to amend the citizen bill in India, in order to curb the rights and freedom of the Muslims who reside there.
Since the bill got in motion, many protests have emerged from Muslims and secular Hindus, against the notion. Jamia Milia Islamia and Aligarh University are the main hub of these protests in favor of Muslims.
To end the protest, the Indian government ordered the police to raid the JMI university, however, the raid turned violent very soon. According to reports, more than 50 students were detained and hundreds were beaten ruthlessly by the police.
Traumatized by witnessing the horrific behavior of the police, the Indian Hindu girl, whose video went viral Anugya said,
“Before your Modi and BJP Sarkaar, we were fine, we were far away. I do not know where I will go but I will not stay here. They ruined my house, my university. I am a student of Law here, I had an exam of the constitution. What is left now? All we did was to protest. My friends are dead, people have died here. Their limbs and heads have been broken. They entered the hostels, both male and female, they beat everyone. They trashed our university (Jamia Milia). Nobody cares. Is this democracy?
Anugya was so terrified vowed to leave and never return, not telling where she would go. However, she later revealed that she would now be returning to her native village.
Pakistan’s president Dr. Arif Alvi shared another video of a girl standing near the mosque to JMI. She revealed that many girls are hiding inside the mosque from the police. However, the police did not respect sanctity of the mosque and raided Jamia Milia mosque and beat young girls ruthlessly, breaking their legs.
Although, the Imam of the mosque tried to stop the police from entering into the mosque, but they beat him as well. This ongoing case of violence against Muslims in India is an awaking for Modi Sarkaar’s supporters. As DG ISPR said, this is the beginning of India’s end.
