Hindu community decorates National Assembly with 40 feet national flag

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Hindu community on Monday decorated the National Assembly hall with 40 feet large national flag made of 60,000 balloons to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Students from different educational institutes have been invited to visit the Parliament House on August 14. The 40-feet flag is set up at one side of the hall covering the whole area from floor to ceiling of the assembly wall.
The flag is made by three dozens of Hindu volunteers. Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, chairman of Pakistan Hindu Council and a member of the National Assembly, is confident that the flag could make it to the Guinness Book of World Records.
While commenting on the deteriorating situation of the Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK), Dr Vankwani said, “The community does and will always stand with the rest of the country when it comes to Pakistan’s defense.”
He further added, “We want to give a clear message to the world that we stand united for the defense of our motherland.”
