High alert issued in government hospitals due to heavy rains

A high alert has been issued in government hospitals in the capital after heavy rains in and around Islamabad.

The district magistrate has written a letter to the concerned authorities saying that the decision of high alert in the hospitals has been taken in view of the rains.

Relief camps have also been set up in 12 government schools in the district administration of Islamabad. The MCI spokesperson said that the holidays of all the concerned agencies have been canceled while the work of cleaning the storm drains has already been completed.

The spokesperson further said that MCI and district administration are working together to provide relief to the people
