Hezb-e Wahdat talks about Afghan peace process with FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday held a meeting with a delegation of Afghanistan’s Hezb-e-Wahdat-e Islami to discuss the matters of mutual interests and Afghanistan’s peace process.
The meeting with the delegation was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
According to the Foreign Minister, the military couldn’t solve the Afghan conflict. However, a political conversation would be able to resolve the conflict.
Moreover, Qureshi said that steps were being taken to further build bilateral relations between the two countries. Also, Pakistan has announced new visa policy for Afghanistan, he revealed.
On the contrary, the ministry on Afghan peace process remarked that, Islamabad “remains steadfast in its support for an inclusive, broad-based and comprehensive political solution of the conflict in Afghanistan through an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process”.
