LAHORE: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the termination of its two-year degree program.

The HEC has declared all 2-year degrees illegal after 2018. BA, B.Com and B.Sc degrees will no longer be available from any college.

According to the HEC, despite the ban in 2018, the launch of illegal programs is worrisome and universities should immediately stop enrolling in such programs as the HEC will not recognize any such degree after December 31, 2018.
