Karachi: The heatwave expected to remain for 24 hours in Sindh mainly Karachi.
Due to the suspension of sea breezes in Karachi, the intensity of heat is likely to increase further in the city today.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), today the third day of heat wave in Karachi during which temperature is likely to reach 40 degrees Celsius.
PMD said that 40 degrees Celsius is likely to be recorded today while the minimum temperature has been recorded at 20.7 degrees Celsius.
Despite the scorching heat, power outages continue in different parts of the country.
PMD reported, hot and dry weather is expected in Karachi during the next 24 hours.
Pakistan Meteorological Department officials said that the humidity was 12 percent and light winds were blowing from the northwest.
