 Heatwave expected in several parts of all provinces during next 12 hours

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected over the next twelve hours in most parts of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Thursday.

The weather department expects rain with rainy wind and thunderstorm in Kashmir, Potohar area, Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Islamabad, Peshawar valley, Mardan and Kohat at night and in the evening.

South Punjab, northeast Balochistan, and upper Sindh are also forecast to witness a dust storm with intermittent rain.

The maximum temperature reported on Thursday morning in Islamabad and Muzaffarabad was 22 ° C, Karachi and Lahore 30 ° C, Peshawar 25 ° C, Quetta 19, Gilgit 16 and Murree 20 ° C , respectively.

The weather in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla are predicted to be partly cloudy with rain-thunderstorm chances, according to Met Office forecast.

The temperature registered today was 26 ° C in Srinagar, 28 ° C in Jammu, 16 ° C in Leh 8 ° C in Pulwama and Shopian, 18 ° C in Anantnag and 17 ° C in Baramulla.
