Health Ministry awards Rs200,000 to Dr Waleed who wins 29 gold medals in MBBS

Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel on Wednesday awarded Rs200,000 to Dr Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik, who has won record 29 gold medals in his medical journey.
In a ceremony held today, the minister said that doctors like Waleed were a national asset and should be encouraged.
MBBS graduate Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik from Ameeruddin Medical College Lahore has set a new record by winning 29 gold medals in different disciplines in the final MBBS exam.
The criteria to get a gold medal are obtaining more than 85% marks or the highest numbers or a top position in each semester.
Talking to private news channel, Waleed said: “In starting I was struggling but then gradually I got succeeded after hard work.”
Notably, Dr Waleed went viral on social media after the netizens bashed Pakistani media for not promoting the real talent of the country.
