Hasan Ali matches the record of Pakistani greats
Hasan Ali is bound to be in the sports news headlines for his bowling performances.
Hasan Ali has achieved a milestone during the ongoing Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test match.
Bangladesh’s batting lineup was looking dangerous as the fifth wicket partnership of Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim collectively scored 250 runs. But Hasan Ali’s strikes on the second day restricted Bangladesh to 330 runs.
The pace bowler managed to grab five scalps. This way he has written his name in the records book.
Hasan Ali becomes the only third Pakistani bowler to grab 5 five-wicket hauls in a Test match in a calendar year.
Previously, this feat was achieved by former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan in 1982.
Later Waqar Younus reached this milestone in 1990. And now, Hasan has managed to get into the record books in 2021.
Earlier, people were criticizing Hasan Ali for his bowling performances in T20 World Cup 2021. But he has bounced back to help Pakistan restrict Bangladesh to 330 runs in the first inning.
It should be mentioned that Hasan has a chance to go above the legendary Imran Khan and Waqar Younus as Pakistan is yet to play Bangladesh in the second test starting from December 4.
