Hafeez, Shadab, four other players to leave for England after testing negative for COVID-19

LAHORE: Six Pakistani players namely Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Wahab Riaz have tested negative for Covid-19 for the second time in three days and, as such, are now eligible to join the Pakistan men’s national cricket team in Worcestershire.
The players were retested on Monday, June 29, following a first negative test on June 26.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will now start making their travel arrangements and the departure details will be shared in due course.

Hafeez, who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) during phase one of the medical tests conducted for the tour of England, had tested negative after opting for a second opinion, privately.
The star all-rounder had on Jun 24 tested negative for coronavirus when he got himself checked from a private lab, one day after being tested COVID-19 positive according to the report of the test conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
“After I was tested positive for COVID-19 according to the PCB testing report, as a second opinion and for personal satisfaction I went to test it again along with my family and I along with my all family members have been tested negative Alhamdulillah. May Allah keep us all safe,” he had written in a tweet.
