Hafeez desires to be part of World Cup winning team before retirement

Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has expressed his desire to play his role in the national team to win the World Cup before retirement.
The former skipper said that he was really disappointed with the people when they talked about his age despite his performance on the ground. He said he was thankful to Allah Almighty for his performance, especially during the last year when he made the most of the opportunities he got.
He said he missed the South Africa series because of misunderstanding with the Pakistan Cricket Board management. However, he said, he wanted to continue playing for the national side as long as possible.
“I was really hurt when I missed South Africa series but that’s in the past now and I hope that no such misunderstanding takes place in the future. I want to continue to serve for Pakistan for as long as possible. I also want to be part of a World Cup winning side before I retire,” Hafeez was quoted by cricketpakistan.com.pk as saying.
