The Pakistan’s former cricket captain Wasim Akram celebrates his 55th birthday on Thursday. today.
Taking it to Twitter, wife Shaniera Akram wished him and said “happy birthday to the love of my life! A man that proves that Age really just is a number” .
Wasim Akram was born on 3 June 1966 to a Punjabi Muslim Arain family in Lahore. Akram’s father, Chaudhary Muhammed Akram, was originally from a village near Amritsar, who moved to Kamonki, in the Pakistani Punjab after the partition of India in 1947.
Akram was diagnosed diabetes at the age of 30.
He has won several memorable matches for Pakistan single-handedly.The fast bowler also achieved a milestone to make two hat-tricks in two successive games of Asian Test Championship in 1999.
