Govt’s new Blue Economy policy to revitalize Pakistan’s shipping sector: PM Imran
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday said the government’s new Blue Economy policy would revitalize Pakistan’s shipping sector, save valuable foreign exchange and create more employment opportunities for seafarers.
In a tweet, he congratulated the Ministry of Maritime Affairs for finalizing a new and dynamic Blue Economy policy. The prime minister said we would ensure that Pakistan fulfilled its enormous maritime potential.
On the other hand, Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Asim Bajwa announced CPEC internship programme which, he said, was an inclusive, national project. “Out engine of growth, human/ social development is our focus,” he said.
He said with 60 percent youth, there lied a tremendous opportunity to develop young leaders with maximum productivity through other regional economies.
“In the spirit of Youth empowerment/to develop young leaders, we announce to offer an opportunity to you to join CPEC specific internship for three months. All eligible Pakistanis can apply,” he wrote in a tweet.
