Govt to send food to 1,300 Pakistani students stuck in Wuhan

The federal government has agreed to give food to approximately 1,300 Pakistani students in Wuhan, China. They had complained about Halal food being inaccessible.

Wuhan is the epicenter of the coronavirus which has now spread across the globe and claimed over 10,000 lives.

The spokesperson for the National Disaster Management Authority announced a special plane would be flying to China to deliver 17 tons of halal food products.

The same plane will carry supplies on its way back to Pakistan to contain the coronavirus.

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development released the food funds, while the NDMA made arrangements for distributing the food.
