Govt to refund Hajj dues starting Thursday
The Religious Affairs Ministry has confirmed it will refund the Hajj dues to all Hajj-2020 applicants from next week.
The ministry said all applicants would be refunded their dues from Thursday according to local media reports. The ministry said the decision was taken following the announcement by Saudi Arabia to hold this year a reduced Hajj due to coronavirus.
Nobody from outside Saudi Arabia can attend the Hajj this year, Saudi Govt decides.
Sum will be refunded across the country through scheduled banks, a ministry spokesperson said. He said all applicants are told via SMS. The spokesperson added that applicants would have to come in person to receive the cash amount.
