ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to launch a National TV channel dedicated to imparting education to mitigate academic losses due to closure of educational institutions across the country.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday with Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood.
It is expected that the channel will start broadcasting in the first half of next month.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health, Dr Zafar Mirza had said that federal and provincial governments are working in close coordination and using all their resources to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
He had expressed the hope that situation will improve as a result of strict measures taken most recently. He had said the medical stores and grocery shops will remain open.
Zafar had said the people should strictly follow the advisories and minimize their outdoor activities to help contain the virus.
