LAHORE: The federal government has planned to expedite the process of handing out loan cheques under the Kamyab Jawan Youth Development Program of the Prime Minister, media reported on Friday.
PM’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar, met today with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and addressed the distribution of loans throughout the province within 15 days of PM Imran Khan’s directives.
During his visit to Lahore in the first week of February, PM Imran Khan will distribute the loan cheques to young people.
Usman Dar named the Kamyab Jawan and Hunarmand programs a golden opportunity for young people during the meeting. He said governments in the past have made a huge investment for the youth of the country. The programme, he added, would boost jobs and alleviate poverty because the new government has committed the highest budget ever to it.
He had already identified 800,000 youth in Punjab under the banner of Kamyab Jawan programme. The government will provide the young people with the best advice and preparation.
Pervez Khattak said earlier on Thursday that the government will give priority to the youth from remote areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, formerly the Federal Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan in the Kamyab Jawan programme.
Speaking to the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar in Islamabad, Pervez Khattak said the government’s envisions training the youth to serve Pakistan through Kamyab Jawan programme, said a media source.
At the occasion, Special Assistant Usman Dar said the government is using all resources to provide youth with education and vocational training.
