 Govt to increase 15% in salaries for govt employee, 5% in pensions

The federal cabinet on Friday approved a 15% increase in the salaries of federal government employee and a 5% increase in pensions.

The Federal Cabinet has approved the budget for the next financial year 2022-23.

According to sources, the federal cabinet has approved a 15 percent increase in the salaries of government employees.

Sources said that 5% increase in pension of government employees has also been approved.

According to sources, increasing the salaries of employees will put a burden of Rs71.59 billion on the exchequer.

Notably, Government employees’ pensions were increased by 10% in April.
