Govt should facilitate Musharraf if he wants to return to Pakistan, says Nawaz Sharif

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif said that if former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf wants to return to Pakistan, the federal coalition government should facilitate him.

In his tweet, Nawaz Sharif said that he had no personal enmity or tussle towards Pervez Musharraf.

“I don’t want anyone else to suffer the traumas that I have to endure for my loved ones,” he said.

— Nawaz Sharif (@NawazSharifMNS) June 14, 2022

Nawaz Sharif said that I pray to Allah Almighty for Musharraf’s health. He said that if Pervez Musharraf wanted to return to Pakistan then the government should provide facility.

Earlier, Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar said that his family had been contacted to bring Musharraf back, the decision was to be taken by his family.

The DG ISPR said that in the health condition of General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, the institution and the leadership are of the view that Pervez Musharraf should return. In this regard, the family of Pervez Musharraf was contacted. It is up to their family and their doctors to decide if they can allow them to travel in such conditions.

Notably, former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf is residing in Dubai and his health had deteriorated in recent days.
