Govt. removes Saad Rizvi’s name from the fourth schedule

A notification has been issued by the government in which the head of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Saad Rizvi’s name has been removed from the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act on Thursday (today).
Another point of the agreement between the Government and TLP was completed as the notification has been issued to remove the name of TLP leader Saad Rizvi from the Fourth Schedule from Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
The fourth Schedule is the act in which individuals are put under the list observance list after the suspicion of terrorism or facilitating terrorism of any sort.
Notification issued states “Federal Government, under Sub-Section (I) of Section 11-U of Act ibid has removed the name of Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan from 1st Schedule of Act ibid as a proscribed organization, now therefore, name of Hafiz Muhammad Saad s/o Khadim Hussain is, hereby, deleted from the list of 4th Schedule of Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 with immediate effect.”

Another important point was implemented by the government on Sunday when the administration removed the banned status of TLP and reinstated them as the legal entity of the country.
Previously, in a presser government’s representative Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced that the negotiations between the government and TLP were successful.
After the successful agreement with the government, TLP called off their long march towards the capital.
Later many TLP workers were released from the custody of police as the government started to implement the points discussed with the TLP.
