ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, the federal government provided Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the provinces for the last 10 days of Ramzan.
The govt also put a ban on processions for Youm-e-Ali which was observed by Muslims on the 21st of the holy month in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS).
For the last 10 days of the holy month and the Eidul Fitr holidays, the Interior Ministry released a notification to all provinces regarding the post-May 9 lockdown strategy established by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
20-point SOPs for Taraweeh prayers will remain in effect for the last 10 days of Ramzan and Eid prayers, according to the notice. This also banned all religious processions in the country in connection with Youm-e-Ali and the last 10 days of Ramzan.
The notification also confirmed that all provinces will also be following up on the implementation of these SOPs and recommendations on social distancing and other preventive steps.
