Govt increases petrol price by Rs3.20 a litre

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s House on Friday approved increase of petrol price by Rs3.20 a litre.

Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to increase prices of petroleum products by Rs11.95 a litre.

A day ago, Geo News had quoted the Petroleum Division sources as saying that the OGRA had recommended boosting diesel price by Rs9.57 and petrol price by Rs11.95 a litre. The increment could take place after approval by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
