ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday said the government was establishing a ‘Job Bank’ for thalassemia patients.
Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the platform for providing jobs to the patients was being established in collaboration with Sundas Foundation which will provide persons suffering from thalassemia better jobs.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan has started Ehsas Program for the provision of relief to the deserving people,” she added.
In a series of tweets, the special assistant on information and broadcasting has said the top leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) had once again hoodwinked its workers by fleeing the country. She said the PML-N had lost its political credibility.
The special assistant rejected PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah’s diatribe against the government saying he had lost his mental balance due to the fleeing of the party’s top leadership abroad.
She reminded Rana Sanaullah that the trial of the case in which he got bail was still pending and he should rather focus on it.
Earlier this week, the federal government had placed the former Punjab law minister’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL). The federal cabinet had placed his name on the no-fly list through a circulation summary, after he was bailed in the narcotics case.
Responding to the news, Rana Sanaullah had said that it did not matter if his name was placed on the ECL as he did not want to go anywhere.
His name had been placed on the list for his alleged involvement in a case pertaining to possession of narcotics.
