Govt deploys Army for protection of Islamabad’s Red Zone

Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has deployed the Pakistan Army for the security of the Red Zone in Islamabad, shortly after the coalition government decided to stop the PTI’s “Haqiqi Azadi March.”

According to sources, all the security of the red zone will be handed over to the army under which troops will be deployed at the Prime Minister’s House, Prime Minister’s Office, Presidency and Supreme Court.

The Pakistan army would also be deployed at other government buildings including the cabinet division.

On the other hand, section 144 has also been imposed in Islamabad for two months and the restrictions of section 144 has been extended up to one kilometer.

Earlier, the coalition government has decided to stop the long march of PTI under which all the roads from Punjab to Islamabad have been sealed while the houses of PTI leaders across the country have also been raided.
