Govt decides to levy sales tax by Rs30 on petroleum products
The coalition government has decided to levy sales tax by Rs30 on petroleum products (POL) in the next financial year budget 2022-23, which will be levied in phases.
According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, a levy of Rs30 per liter has been proposed on petroleum products in the next financial year budget.
Sources said that at present the rate of sales tax on petroleum products is zero so it has been decided to levy sales tax on petroleum products again.
