Govt Decides To Lay Off 2400 PTV Employees

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has approved a plan to sack 2,400 employees of state-run Pakistan Television (PTV).

The government has also drafted a list of ‘ghost employees’ working in the state-run channel. Whereas, the employees of PTV have warned that if they would be sacked, they would exhibit their reaction strongly and hold protests across the country.

Sanaullah Khan, a journalist associated with English daily DAWN posted a tweet in this regard, saying that PM Imran has approved the plan to sack 2,400 employees of PTV.
