Govt announces to lodge FIR against Rana Sanaullah under terrorism act

RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for Information Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Saturday said that the government would lodge an FIR against senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah under terrorism act.
The federal minister said the government could not give anybody permission to threaten a public institution or a government officer. He said this during his visit to a public hospital of Rawalpindi.
Fawad said Rana Sanaullah used the same language which was used by the TLP leaders and founder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Referring to the protests of Tehreek e Labbaik Pakistan, he said the government tackled the fitna deftly.
Fawad Chaudhry has said proscribing TLP was purely an internal decision of Pakistan there was no foreign pressure on the matter.
