Govt allows opposition parties to hold public gathering, says info minister

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Shibli Faraz on Thursday said the government had allowed the opposition parties to hold the public gathering.
In a video message, he challenged the opposition parties to fill the Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala. He said they should refrain from holding the gathering on the roads as it would cause inconvenience to the public. He said the Standard Operating Procedures should be followed at the place of public meeting.
The minister said the opposition had got united to save the plundered amount. He said the government will not come under any pressure through such tactics of the opposition.

On Oct 9, PM Imran Khan had said that nobody would come on streets to protect larceny of the opposition parties.
“They should be asked why unemployed politicians have gathered. When I saw queues of jobless people, I thought are they not ashamed of hoarding billions of rupees abroad,” PM Imran had said.
He had said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had turned over a new leaf as he got fresh air of London. He seemed quite healthy now, he had said adding that Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari had got tears in her eyes when she first listened about diseases of Nawaz Sharif.
