Government ready to cut short gas supply for domestic consumers

Federal Energy Minister Hammad Azhar while speaking in the Senate on Friday (today) has said that domestic consumers will receive natural gas supply three times a day.
Pakistan will face natural gas shortage in the winter season. So to combat the scarcity, the government is ready to implement load shedding on the gas supply to domestic consumers.
As per Federal Energy Minister, consumers will receive a supply of gas during the times of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for cooking purposes.
Hammad Azhar has rebuffed the spread of fake news that the gas will be supplied only three times a week.
He further talked about the shortage of gas the current government is facing. It was mentioned by Federal Energy Minister that Pakistan has secured 11 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) which will be consumed in the months of November and December.
Hammad Azhar further briefed about the ongoing deals with Russia for a gas pipeline. He said the talks are moving forward as a delegation from Russia visited Pakistan a few days ago and they will come back to the country in the next few days to further discuss the matter.
During the winter season, Pakistan faces scarcity of natural gas as its consumption increases drastically. Throughout the nation, people use gas to power geysers and heaters to keep themselves warm thus increase in the demand for gas.
