Government has also joined the circus of accountability, says Shahid Khaqan

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared in the accountability court on Tuesday (today). Talking to reporters outside the court, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the circus of accountability is going on and now the government has also joined it.
Khaqan said that the chairman NAB has retired but no consultation has been held while the entire process of accountability is on the head of a chairman. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also sarcastically said that time will tell what will happen to the Prime Minister.
The former prime minister said that the NAB ordinance would be used only to hide government theft. The ordinance has come on Friday evening, it will be challenged in the High Court, Supreme Court, Senate. The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader said that the economy is being destroyed, neither the government nor the ministers care.

Regarding the opposition alliance PDM, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the PDM has a rally in Faisalabad on October 16 and a meeting on October 18 in which the action plan of the PDM will be decided.
Regarding Pakistan Peoples Party, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that PPP is definitely in opposition but not part of PDM. As an opposition party, PPP is consulted.
He was asked if there was a debate on civil-military relations. He replied that he had heard that they were on the same page and you (media person) know better.
