Google is honored on Monday the late Anna Molka to celebrate the educator and the first art teacher of Pakistan to take her students out of the classrooms and into the outdoors to paint.
Anna Molka was the first art teacher in Pakistan to bring her students out of the classroom to paint outdoors. She figured there’s plenty of room for change when it comes to practical work.
On 1 June 1940, at the University of Punjab in Lahore, the lady founded the Fine Arts Department, which has now become the University College of Arts & Design.
She was awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) in 1963 for her contributions in the field of arts and for introducing talent to national and international levels.
Ms. Anna Molka Ahmed is remembered today and forever for rendering her endless arts services and inspiring Pakistani artists generations.
