Gold mine collapse kills 50 miners in Congo
At least 50 gold miners have been killed in a week-long rainstorm in the African country, Congo.
According to a foreign news agency, heavy rains lashed the Congo region of Kasmi Toga for a week, causing the gold mine to collapse.
Authorities say more people may be buried under the rubble, so rescue work is under way.
A two-day mourning period is being observed in the southern province of Kiev.
