The astounding footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his gratitude towards Dubai’s royal family for the friendship, hospitality and respect he received during his stay in the UAE. He was staying there to attend the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards.
Ronaldo was awarded ‘the player of the century award’ at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards, which was held at Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa on 27th December.
Moreover, on completion of the ceremony, he showed his thankfulness for the Dubai royal family on his Instagram account.
“Finally, I must thank, once again, to the Dubai Royal Family for the respect, friendship and hospitality that I always receive in wonderfull [sic] Dubai, and to all the fans that voted for me in such a huge worldwide online voting with over 21 million votes,” he said through the post.
Ronaldo said as he was about to celebrate his 20th year as a professional footballer, Globe Soccer Player Of The Century was a recognition that he received with so much joy and pride.
Furthermore, Ronaldo had also spent time with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, during Dubai International Sports conference.
On this occasion, Robert Lewandowski bagged ‘Player Of The Year Award’, Hans-Flick won ‘the Coach Of The Year Award’ and to Pep Guardiola was named as ‘the Coach Of The Century’. While, Casillas and Piqué were bestowed upon with Career Awards, and Ronaldo’s friend Jorge Mendes grabbed ‘the Agent Of The Century Award’.
