‘Global Handwashing Day’ now more significant with COVID19 around

Global Hand-washing day is being celebrated every year on 15th October, and it could be more significant this year with COVID-19 being around.

The theme of Global Handwashing Day 2020 is “Hand Hygiene for All,” which is a day that focuses on raising awareness of making soap and water available globally.

The Global Hand Washing Day is an opportunity to design, test and replicate creative ways to encourage people to wash their hands with soap at crucial times.

The day was inaugurated about 12 years ago in 2008, and was launched to increasing awareness about the importance of hand washing with soap to prevent diseases, save lives.
