NEW YORK: The worldwide death toll from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 145,521 while 2,182,197 declared cases have been registered.
According to reports, at least 547,295 coronavirus patients have recovered so far.
In the United States, death toll from the pandemic now stands at 34,617 with 677,570 infections from the virus.
Italy is the second worst-hit country with 22,170 deaths and 168,941 infections.
The British government has extended lockdown restrictions due to Coronavirus for at least another three weeks across the country.
Briefing the media at Downing Street in London, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said, “We still don’t have the infection rate down as far as we need to.”
He said a review had concluded that relaxing the measures now would risk harming public health and the economy.
