 Gladiators reigned over Karachi Stadium! Quetta Gladiators trounced Karachi Kings by 10 wickets

Karachi: Quetta Gladiators easily defeated Karachi Kings by 8 wickets in the fourth match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League.

In the fourth match of PSL 7 played at National Stadium Karachi, the bowlers of Quetta Gladiators bowled well and did not allow any of the batsmen of Karachi Kings to move and their entire team returned to the pavilion for 113 runs. Quetta Gladiators easily achieved the target in the 16th over at a loss of 2 wickets.

In pursuit of the target, openers of Quetta Gladiators once again showed responsible batting and gave team a good start of 76 runs. Will Smeed played a strong innings of 30 runs which included 1 six and 3 fours.

Ahsan Ali scored a half-century  in a row and played an important role in team’s victory. He remained unbeaten on 57 runs while captain Sarfraz Ahmed was present with him on 16 runs.

The only wicket for Karachi Kings went to Mohammad Imran while Quetta Gladiators fast bowler Naseem Shah was named Man of the Match for his excellent bowling performance.

Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed decided to bowl first after winning the toss against Karachi Kings. Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam started the innings and showed their dangerous intentions by hitting two fours in a row to Sohail Tanveer on the first and second balls but Sohail Tanveer sent Sharjeel Khan back to the pavilion for 10 runs.

Sohail Tanveer bowled Joe Clarke for 2 and added to the difficulties of Karachi Kings after which Naseem Shah bowled Tom Lammonby for 3, Mohammad Nabi for 0 and Lewis Gregory for 5 runs while Mohammad Taha returned to the pavilion for 6 runs.

Later, the last hope of Karachi Kings captain Babar Azam also fell victim to Muhammad Hasnain after playing an innings of 32 runs while Amir Yameen also lost his courage after scoring 20 runs.

Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators failed to win their first match. Multan Sultan had defeated Karachi Kings by 7 wickets while Peshawar had defeated Gladiators by 5 wickets after a thrilling match yesterday.

In today’s first match, Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets, thus Multan Sultans managed to win both their matches.
