Misha Japanwala is a Pakistani artist and a fashion designer living in New York. In a recent interaction with her followers on Instagram, she was asked about her favorite work in the year 2020.
That’s when she revealed that the New York-based artist had done a collaboration with a renowned supermodel, Gigi Hadid. The artist opened up about how this year also hit her as it did to many others. Misha unfolded her journey of how she was in the middle of chaos and Gigi Hadid came as a blessing in disguise.
“When the pandemic hit, I lost my full time job in fashion (and along with it the visa that was keeping me in the country/my health insurance/my income) and was at an all-time low. It hadn’t even been a month since getting laid off when @gigihadid reached out asking to collaborate on this piece. It was an unbelievable blessing during a really dark time, and will always have a special place in heart because of that.”
Japanwala’s work has featured on ‘Gigi journal part II’ amongst many other artists from across the globe. Gigi Hadid sent her love again to the Misha Japanwala as she shared her post on her own social media.
