The Awami Bedari Tehreek (People’s Awakening Campaign), a Gilgit-Baltistan- based organisation, along with representatives of several other organisations held a press conference on Thursday against the Indian conspiracies and Mehdi Shah’s revelations.

Speaking to media at National Press Club, Islamabad, the parties appealed to end the involvement of RAW and Indian agencies in Gilgit Baltistan.

Abbass Safeer, an advocate, spoke about the revelations made by Mehdi Shah, son of Syed Haider Shah Rizvi, the leader of the Balawaristan National Front (BNF).

Mehdi Shah revealed through a video message on social media that he was contacted by different international NGO’s and was told to launch a verbal attack against Pakistan. He said those who contacted him they also tried to convince him that the entire India was behind him.

He said he was even told the exact words that he had to use to make his rhetoric forceful and effective.

According to Mehdi’s disclosures, Dr Amjad Ayub Mirza, a key figure in the EU Disinfo Lab based in Scotland, Sajjad Raja, head of the UK based NeP JKGBL, Shaukat Kashmiri head of the UKPNP, Advocate Mehboob Afaq Bilour, Shabbir Mayar, Ghiasuddin, Najaf Ali, Asif Naji, Qamar Najmi and many more are part of the conspiracies against Pakistan.

Moreover, Mehdi was facing extreme financial problems amid Covid-19 pandemic of which the groups tried to take advantage and offered him money to speak against Pakistan.

On the contrary, the family of Mehdi Shah has requested the government to provide security to him as the step he had taken to expose the anti-Pakistan groups could become a threat to him.
